Further to our previous announcements dated 22 April 2024 and 20 January 2026 (available at https://www.yybadvocate.com/post/sudan-resumption-of-work-of-the-tmro and

https://www.yybadvocate.com/post/announcement-update-on-the-operations-of-the-office-of-the-registrar-general-of-intellectual-proper ), we would like to inform our clients and partners that the Registrar General of Intellectual Property has resumed operations in Khartoum, Sudan.

At this stage, the Registrar is unable to recover its previous records and data, which has resulted in the suspension of substantive examination of all applications until further notice.

Notwithstanding the above, the Registrar’s Office is currently accepting the filing of new applications as well as renewals.

We are maintaining regular follow-ups with the Registrar’s Office to obtain updates or any formal decisions regarding the processing of pending applications. We will promptly inform our clients and partners as soon as any new information becomes available.

For any clarification or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
